Aiken Regional Medical Centers has a 14-bed Inpatient Rehabilitation Center that offers comprehensive, compassionate rehabilitation services for people with brain injury, cancer, orthopedic, stroke, neurologic and other conditions that require rehabilitation following an injury or illness. Our team is dedicated to helping patients regain their independence.
Inpatient Rehabilitation Services
Hitchcock Inpatient Rehabilitation Services at Aiken Regional Medical Centers helps people return to their highest level of independence after a debilitating illness or injury. A team of highly-trained professionals are available to assist with a patient's recovery, including physical, emotional and social needs.
The 14-bed rehabilitation unit is located on the second floor of the hospital. Patients have private rooms with private full bathrooms, each medically equipped to help ensure safety.
Outpatient Rehabilitation Services for Adults
Hitchcock Outpatient Rehabilitation Services provides a comprehensive team of experience professionals to attend to an adults individualized rehabilitation needs regardless of your illness, injury or surgical needs.
Aiken Regional's occupational therapists help people return to the greatest areas of ability that is possible, particularly in activities of daily living including eating, bathing and dressing.
Our physical therapists focus on training to improve balance, transfers, mobility and strength, including the use of mobility devices, if necessary.
Aiken Regional's speech therapists assess and facilitate treatment in communication, memory, problem solving and swallowing dysfunction. Cognitive rehabilitation techniques may be used to help people with memory and concentration impaired by a brain injury.
