Emergency care at Aiken Regional Medical Centers is provided 24/7 by board-certified physicians. We offer patient-friendly bedside registration and are committed to keeping our wait times short. And when time is crucial, we’re prepared with our helipad.

Our hospital is a Certified Primary Heart Attack Center (CPHA) and a Certified Primary Stroke Center by The Joint Commission and the American Stroke Association® (ASA) / American Heart Association® (AHA).

Qualifications

Applicants must be a Registered Nurse or have Nursing Assistant certification. RNs and CTT/UCs are required to have BLS upon hire. ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire for all RNs. ENPC and TNCC are not required but are highly recommended.

Nurse grads are welcome (limited availability).

What You Can Expect Working on Unit

Nurses receive a six to 12 week orientation, depending on their level of experience. Nursing staff members work varying 12-hour shifts and are expected to work holidays. We offer a positive work environment with strong teamwork. The Emergency Department is a fast paced and rewarding place to work. We strive to make a difference for our patients and our community.

Educational Opportunities Specific to Area/Career Growth

We provide continuing education for unit specific issues, and encourage ongoing degree education and certification in your area of expertise. We offer ENPC and ED specific modules in our computer-based education called Healthstream. The hospital provides many opportunities for committee and education involvement with all staff.
