Aiken Regional Toy DriveAiken Regional Toy Drive Lights Up the Holidays for Area Children

Thanks to the generosity of Aiken Regional employees and community residents who donated toys for the annual Aiken Salvation Army Toy Drive, many children in our area were overjoyed to find presents under the family Christmas tree this year. More than 300 new toys were collected for area children and for the hospital. Residents also donated toys at the 22nd annual Christmas at the Lake, and their names were entered into a raffle to win a Christmas stocking full of toys.

A heartfelt thanks to all of the Aiken Regional employees and area residents who helped to make this holiday brighter for many of our families!

Caring for Carolina Bowlers Rack up $9,909 for Children's Place

On November 15, 2013, Caring for Carolina partners Aiken Regional Medical Centers, Beasley Broadcasting, Maxwell Law Firm and WJBF News Channel 6 hosted a Cosmic Bowling fundraiser at Strikehouse Bowl in Aiken to benefit the Children’s Place Guardian Angel campaign.

The fun-filled event raised $9,909 for the Guardian Angel campaign, which provides clothing to local children who have experienced behavioral problems caused by trauma, neglect or are at-risk.

Glow-In-The-Dark trophies for highest scores went to Regional Ambulance Service (1st Place), Aiken Regional Medical Centers (2nd Place) and Aiken Ophthalmology (3rd Place).

Thanks to our generous sponsors who made the 1st annual Caring for Carolina Cosmic Bowling Fundraiser a “smashing” success!
