Palmetto Pediatrics and Georgia Regents University of Augusta

doctor with babyYou may already know that the physicians at Palmetto Pediatrics are experienced in providing high-quality care for infants, children and adolescents. What you may not know is that they also share a commitment to maintaining that standard of care through the education of pediatric medical residents.

Through an innovative partnership, pediatric residents and medical students from Georgia Regents University-Augusta are also practicing at Palmetto Pediatric Center. Weekdays start with morning rounds in the newborn nursery, where residents follow newborns from the delivery room through their first few days in the hospital. They also provide sick and wellchild care in a busy private practice setting and attend scheduled C-sections and high-risk deliveries.

This rotation provides new residents with an intimate learning environment — one that gives them more independence and more individualized teaching as they prepare for their future in pediatric care.

Palmetto Pediatric Center provides inpatient and outpatient care for infants, children and adolescents. To learn more or to schedule an appointment, call us at 803-641-KIDS (5437).
