Treating the Individual, Not Just the Illness

The Cancer Care Institute of Carolina nurtures mind, body and spirit.

Cancer Care Institute of Carolina

Choosing the right treatment is one of the most important decisions you’ll make on your cancer journey. At the Cancer Care Institute of Carolina, we believe that treatment should be as individual as the patient. We use leading technology and advanced treatment options to aggressively treat your specific cancer. At the same time, we support you with therapies to reduce side effects, boost your energy level and strengthen your overall health — physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

All the specialists you need, all in one place

Patients receive continuous care from a dedicated team of multi-disciplinary specialists, who work together to develop the optimal cancer treatment plan for their specific needs. Patients diagnosed with breast cancer also benefit from the services of our Breast Health Nurse Navigator, who provides guidance and support throughout treatment.

Most testing and treatment takes place onsite, so patients have everything they need, all in one place, without having to travel far from home.

In fact, we are the only cancer center in the area to offer treatment for both chemotherapy and radiation oncology under one roof.

Staying ahead through research

At The Cancer Care Institute, we stay at the forefront of medical technology by participating in clinical trials and research studies that test new approaches to cancer treatment. Through relationships with other organizations and participation in research, we’re able to employ the same treatment protocols that are utilized at the nation’s leading cancer institutes.

A healing environment for patients and families

The Cancer Care Institute is designed for high-tech care, but also for the comfort, convenience and privacy of patients and their families. A gentle color scheme and soothing artwork creates a peaceful, serene environment. Large walls of glass fill the space with light and overlook the meditation garden, which provides a soothing retreat.

Hand in hand with advanced medicine and leading-edge equipment, we give our patients emotional support, compassionate care and education. Our patient education programs provide you and your family with the information you need in clear, easy-to-understand language, and support groups provide encouragement as you progress through your treatment program. Our onsite boutique is stocked with specialty items designed for your needs during and after treatment, such as prostheses, specially fitted bras, nightgowns, swimwear, wigs, hats and more.
