Senior Driving Program
55 Alive is AARP's mature driver education course that helps older drivers improve their skills to avoid traffic crashes and violations. This two-day "refresher" class helps mature drivers brush up on their driving-related knowledge as well as increase their awareness of defensive-driving techniques. South Carolina residents age 55 or older who complete the course may receive a discounted rate on their automobile insurance.
Facilitator: Jerry Wright, Certified AARP Instructor

Registration: Required Fee: $14, payable to AARP at the first class; $2 discount offered with proof of AARP membership
The Breakfast Club
Sponsored by Aiken Regional Medical Centers and the Lower Savannah Council of Governments, the Breakfast Club is designed to promote a healthy lifestyle. Each month, a breakfast and seminar program dedicated exclusively to seniors addresses a different healthcare or wellness topic. Meetings are held the second Friday of each month.
Complimentary breakfast is included.
Know What Your Body is Saying
The growing emphasis on preventive medicine places more responsibility on you to help identify illnesses before they become serious. In this important seminar, Ansermo Arthur, MD, will help you learn to recognize the signs of possible cardiovascular problems.

What to Expect As You Get Older

Gentle mind/body workout to strengthen and tone your body, as well as improve balance and flexibility.

SILVER SNEAKERS YOGA STRETCH
Yoga stretch will move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses.
Used to increase flexibility, balance, & range of movement.

Low impact, moderate-paced fitness exercises (aerobics, light weight resistance and floor activities).

Learn line dances to country, jazz, big band, and modern music.

PUPPY TRAINING CLASS
Four-week class for puppies 10 to 20 weeks old. Designed to provide owners information on how to handle a new puppy. Puppies are taught basic commands and a variety of skills.
Tuesdays 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.
BASIC DOG TRAINING CLASS
For dogs five months or older. Dog will learn basic commands: sit, come, down, stay, wait, stand, etc.
