Qualifications

All Registered Nurses and Care Team Technicians are required to have their respective licensure and certification. All Registered Nurses are to have certification in ACLS and BLS. These certifications should be obtained within six (6) months of hire. Aiken Regional Medical Centers offers courses to obtain or renew certification.

One to two years of experience is preferable, but nursing graduates are always welcome.

What to Expect Working on Unit

Nurses receive a four – 12 week orientation depending on level of experience. Nursing staff (including CTTs) members work 12-hour shifts, 7 a.m. – 7 p.m., and are expected to work two holidays as outlined by department guidelines. We offer a positive work environment with strong teamwork. This unit is a very relaxed and patient centered unit where the goal is to provide the best care for our patients.
