Joint Pain Center

The Joint Pain Center specializes in the care of patients who have had total hip or knee replacement surgery. Patients are treated as "well" patients who are temporarily inconvenienced by a "sick" joint. Focusing on the importance of group therapy, the program takes each patient on a week-long plan of recovery by including the patient, physician, nurses, physical therapists, "coach" and case manager. Patients are encouraged to dress in their own clothes and will have physical therapy and other activities in a group setting. By participating in group therapy, in addition to individualized therapy sessions, patients will be able to share their experience with others. For more information about the Joint Pain Center or to sign up for an information seminar call (803) 641-5451.
